Hi! I’m Georgina, a Catskill Village resident who rediscovered dance through queer line dancing in NYC. I grew up dancing in everything from ballet to hip-hop, but only found real joy and community again through line dancing in NYC with UEVR and SCUFF. For me, line gives us a way to move without pressure or perfection.

Now I teach in the Hudson Valley! You can find me hosting AvaLine at the Avalon Lounge in Catskill, hosting The Train Line at The Caboose in Hudson, subbing at Unicorn Bar’s Queer Line Dance, and previously teaching Lava Line, a beginner’s class with Lava Hot Yoga in Catskill. I love collaborating with local venues and line and two-step teachers to create welcoming, beginner-friendly events because, honestly, I want more chances to dance close to home and to build our dance community. No experience or partner needed. Just show up ready to move and have fun!

    Tuesdays in January, starting January 13th

    Climb aboard, Catskill Line is heading to Hudson for Tuesday night queer line classes at The Caboose!

    Starting Jan 13, we’ll be dancing from 6:30-8:30 pm, and the bar and snacks will be available from 6:30-10:00 pm.

    Pay at the door with Cash or Venmo.

    Join Catskill Line's Georgina and Troy's finest, Lo Ryder, for a full night of line dance lessons, two-stepping, and open dancing right in the heart of our Village. Whether you’re a brand new dancer or already hooked, learn, move, and party with a growing community of dancers from across the Hudson Valley.

    AvaLine is carrying forward a long, joyful lineage of queer social dance to create a space where everyone, queer folks and allies alike, can show up as themselves and share in the magic of moving together.

    Mondays at Lava Hot Yoga

    Session 1 (11.3 -12.8) is complete - more to come in the New Year!

    A line dancing class series in the Catskill Lava Studio basketball court. This class will help you get out on the dance floor confidently. We will cover the basics, review dances taught in previous sessions, and learn two new dances per class. Great for beginners or those who want more opportunities to dance.
